Pulse Desk is a planner and reminder app for the web, phones and the Mac and Windows desktop. Evectus Solutions in Harare, Zimbabwe runs it. This page says what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

  • Your account. Your name and email address, and either a password or a Google sign-in. We store a password only as a salted hash, never as you typed it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google name, your verified email address and Google's ID for your account. We ask Google for the openid, email and profile scopes and nothing else. Signing in with Google does not give us access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts.
  • Your planning. Tasks, schedule blocks, reminders, alarms, notes, notebooks and settings are kept in your browser's storage on your own device. The desktop app also keeps a copy in its own storage. We do not upload them to our server unless a feature below needs it.
  • Team messages and meetings. If you use them, the messages, attachments, meeting invites, your replies and your online status are stored on our server so the people you talk to can receive them.
  • Reminders when the app is closed. If you turn on “Notify me when this tab is closed”, we store your browser's push address and the reminders and alarms coming up in the next seven days (their times and titles), so our server can send them.
  • What you ask the AI. The text you type into the AI features (chat, documents, slides, study decks, the writing checks) goes to our server and on to the AI provider named below. We keep a log of that text with your email address for up to 90 days to see how the features are used and to fix problems. Only the administrator accounts can read it.
  • Voice. In a live voice session your microphone audio travels through our server to Deepgram for speech recognition and speech. Our server passes it on and does not save it.
  • Feedback. Anything you send through the feedback button, with your email address.
  • Technical records. Our server keeps ordinary request records (time, address and what was requested) and uses them to block abuse and to keep the service running.

How we use it

To sign you in, run the app, deliver your reminders and messages, answer your AI requests, keep the service secure and fix faults. We do not sell your data, we show no ads, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Who else handles it

  • Google checks your sign-in when you choose Sign in with Google.
  • Deepgram turns your voice into text and our replies into speech.
  • NVIDIA runs the AI models that read what you type and write the answers.
  • Your browser's push service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft, depending on your browser) carries notifications to your device.
  • Jitsi servers carry in-app calls. Your camera and microphone go to them directly while you are in a call.
  • Our hosting provider runs the server the data sits on.

Pulse Desk's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Cookies and storage

We set one cookie, which keeps you signed in. It is marked HttpOnly and lasts up to 30 days, or until you sign out. The app also uses your browser's local storage for your planning and settings, and a service worker cache so it opens quickly and works offline. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Your account, and your messages and attachments, until you ask us to delete them.
  • The AI request log, up to 90 days.
  • Your push address and upcoming reminders, until you turn notifications off or sign out.
  • Data kept on your own device stays there until you clear it or remove the app.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your account and the data we hold on our server by emailing evectussolution@gmail.com. The app has no delete-account button yet, so email is the way. Signing out removes your device's push address. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything Pulse Desk keeps on your device.

Children

Pulse Desk is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

Traffic to Pulse Desk is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and the logs are readable only by the administrators. No service is perfectly secure, so if you find a problem, please tell us at evectussolution@gmail.com.

Changes

If we change this page, we update the date at the top. If a change affects what we do with your data, we will say so in the app.
